By The Guy Who Compares Every Movie to Citizen Kane, Hollywood Big Time

What a terrible year for films. 2013 brought us space catastrophes, artificial intelligence, and penny stocks – but what it didn’t deliver was a cinematic classic comparable to Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane. Is it really too much to ask? Hollywood has billions of dollars sitting in their bank, and they can’t produce one film in a calendar year that’s as good (if not better) than Citizen Kane?  What do we chalk this up to? Laziness?
